Tara joined United Way in June 2025 as the Community Partnerships Manager, bringing more than a decade of experience in non-profit program management, leadership, fundraising, and community service. Prior to her role at United Way, she dedicated over 13 years to The Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center, formerly The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club, where she played a key role in building partnerships with community leaders, local nonprofits, and businesses throughout Alamance County.
A graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Tara’s passion for service took root during her college years through volunteering—particularly with Boys & Girls Club, where she discovered her calling to support youth and strengthen communities. She is also a proud alumna of Leadership Alamance.
Originally from New Hampshire, Tara now calls Alamance County home. She is a firm believer in the power of collaboration and the impact of strong community partnerships in creating lasting change.
In her free time, Tara enjoys music, playing volleyball, spending time with family and friends, and getting in her beach days at Surfside Beach, SC.
