This is a full-time position. The Victim Advocate will facilitate safety planning and crisis intervention services with victims of domestic violence. Assist with Protective Orders for victims, provide victims with emotional support throughout safety planning, advocacy and court accompaniment services. Work with community agencies to insure seamless services for victims and their children. Provide coverage on the crisis line. Have a thorough knowledge of the court system, keep close relationships with the Family Justice Center partners and community partners in order to ensure appropriate referrals are made.
Family Abuse Services of Alamance County, located within the Family Justice Center, is tasked with planning and coordinating domestic and intimate partner violence services and prevention education across Alamance County, North Carolina.
