A Community Wellness event will be held at Eli Whitney Community Event Center on Thursday August 8th. Cone Health will offer free health screenings for blood pressure, glucose and A1C checks, Lipid, colorectal and prostate screenings. The mammogram bus will be available for women over the age of 40. Those with and without insurance are accepted. However, please call the number on the flyer to register for screening and to see if schlorships are available for those without insurance. Alamance County Health Department will be providing children with immunizations for back to school. The Colgate Dental van for children will offer free childrens teeth evaluations with referrals as needed. Several community agencies will be available: WIC, environmental services, United Way, and more. Come to learn more about health and wellness.
