Hidden Science of Alamance County

We are excited to announce that the North Carolina Science Festival, the country's first statewide celebration of science, is returning for its 15th year! Alamance County Public Libraries, in partnership with Burlington Parks and Recreation, is proud to host the Hidden Science of Alamance County, as part of the month-long festival.

This year’s event will take place on April 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at North Park, located at 849 Sharpe Road, Burlington, NC. Last year, we had over 25 exhibitors and 300 participants. Building on that success, we have set an ambitious goal to exceed 40 exhibitors this year! We are reaching out to you for your support in celebrating science by sharing your time and the knowledge behind what you do.

Everyone is welcome—schools, museums, businesses, and organizations eager to share their passion for science! This is YOUR chance to showcase your field of S.T.E.A.M. to the community we serve.

This will be a family-friendly outdoor event. We will provide a table and two chairs, and lunch will be included. We encourage exhibitors to present a hands-on, fun, and educational activity or display. We recommend targeting the content towards a 3rd through 8th-grade level. Please note that electrical outlets will be limited.

By donating your time to display information and/or provide an activity, you can inspire participants by introducing them to the exciting fields of science right in their own community. Through this event, you have the potential to help foster the next generation of scientists!

We hope we can count on you to make this year’s event one of our best!
