The Grassroots Grant is funded by the North Carolina State Legislature through the North Carolina Arts Council. The Grassroots Grant provides funds to non-profit agencies and organizations planning and implementing programs in the fine and performing arts, which includes the visual arts, architecture and the visual environment, traditional or folk arts, music, dance, theater, film and video, creative writing and photography.
