Lacey joined the United Way team in August 2024 bringing significant experience with nonprofit operations and fundraising through workplace giving, employee engagement initiatives, and corporate social responsibility programs. She calls Alamance County home and first became engaged in the community while serving as the Annual Giving & Engagement Officer at Cone Health where she had the opportunity to participate in Leadership Alamance.
In her current role as President, Lacey is responsible for the vision of United Way of Alamance County. She works to have a deep understanding of the needs in our community, ensures our programs and services align with our mission, and that we have the resources and relationships needed to create a positive impact.
She graduated from West Virginia University with a dual bachelor’s in Sociology and Multidisciplinary Studies. With a passion for education, she continued her higher education journey to receive a master’s in public administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management from Syracuse University in 2014 and earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive credential in 2020.
In her free time, you can catch Lacey at a Sock Puppets game, local festival, or concert with her husband. She also enjoys tackling DIY home projects and trying to cook or bake new recipes at home.
