Teresa Wiley is an accomplished Health Administrator with over 20 years of experience in nursing leadership, program development for special populations, and community advocacy for health equity. She earned her BSN degree from UNC Chapel Hill and her MHA from Winston-Salem State University, combining clinical expertise with strong leadership and management skills. As the Director of Health Equity and Community Network Development at Community Care of North Carolina, Teresa also leads the innovative Community Health Worker Program, further advancing access to care for underserved populations.
Teresa is actively engaged in several influential initiatives, serving as a member of the NC DHHS Equity Brain Health Trust, the Historically Marginalized Population Team Leads Committee, the NC AHEC Community Health Worker Workgroup, and the Alamance County Equity Council. She is also a graduate of the Harwood Institute Catalytic Community Guide Leadership Program (Spring 2024). Her commitment to community well-being is reflected in her service on the boards of the United Way of Alamance and the Alamance Partnership for Children.
Passionate about humanitarian service, Teresa has traveled to Guatemala, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic since 2019 to provide medical and dental care to those in need. In addition to her health-related work, she is a strong advocate for youth in the Alamance County Justice System, having served as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for over 16 years.
