United Way of Alamance County is seeking passionate and engaged community members to serve as volunteer Community Investment Grant Reviewers for our 2027 grant cycle.
The Community Investment Grant review process will take place from late August through beginning of October 2026. Individuals interested in serving as grant reviewers should be available to participate throughout this review period.
Your voice and perspective are essential to ensure funding decisions directly impact the well-being of individuals and families across our county.
As a Community Investment Grant Reviewer, you will play a vital role in helping allocate resources to programs that align with United Way of Alamance County’s mission and the grant focus areas of Youth Opportunity & Financial Security.
What's Involved:
- Training Session: Attend a required orientation and training session
- Application Review: Independently review and score grant applications
- Site Visits: Participate in 3-4 in-person site visits at applying organizations
- Deliberation Sessions: Attend 2 group meetings to discuss and finalize funding recommendations
