Join United Way of Alamance County for Community Council
We look forward to having you join us for Community Council on Thursday, October 8, from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM! Join us for an ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) Simulation.
👉 Register for Community Council: https://givebutter.com/octobercommunitycouncil
ALICE is closer to home than you may think. ALICE may be a relative, friend, neighbor, coworker—or you. These hardworking households earn above the Federal Poverty Level, yet financial stability can still feel out of reach. Step into an ALICE household and gain a firsthand perspective on the everyday challenges and difficult financial decisions they face.
Following the simulation, we’ll be joined by Sam Baker, the Executive Director of United Way of Randolph County, to hear about her personal experience as ALICE.
A quick note for planning: We encourage everyone to arrive at 11:30 AM, as the ALICE Simulation will take place at the beginning of Community Council. We want to make sure you have the opportunity to participate from the start!
This is a Community Council you won’t want to miss!
Please note: The ALICE Simulation includes scenarios involving financial hardship, difficult choices, and other potentially sensitive situations. Please take care of yourself during the simulation and feel free to step away if needed.
