Alamance Hosts NCCARE360 Training
This past Tuesday human service organizations from Alamance, Guilford and Rockingham Counties came together for a training on the NCCARE360 platform. The online software was launched earlier this year and these 3 counties were the first to be on boarded. These counties were chosen given the strong network of services that exist in each.
NCCARE360 is a public-private partnership between Unite Us, United Way North Carolina, NCDHHS, Expound and the Foundation for Health Leadership Innovation. The goal of NCCARE360 is to efficiently and electronically refer clients to any services they may need. Once someone is in the system, their referrals can be tracked and agencies can easily see their history. The platform is HIPAA and FERPA compliant and therefore can collect data to later be used to inform policy.
The training began with a panel of users and partners to engage the group and answer any questions they may have. NCCARE360 State Director Jimmy Fisher moderated and gave the group background information on the platform. By the end of the day, over 15 new agencies were trained and excited to begin making referrals!
We loved being a part of this training and sharing United Way’s perspective on the importance of linkage to services!
