ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CIP)
Please let your consumers know that in an effort to keep our community safe from COVID-19, new procedures will be implemented to maintain social distancing guidelines and prevent large groups from gathering in our agency lobbies. This energy season, energy applications, and interviews will not be conducted in person. Paper applications will be available at the ground floor entrance of the Social Services building, printed from our website, mailed upon request, or taken over the phone. Applications can be returned by dropping it off in our secured drop box, mail to 319 N. Graham Hopedale Road Suite C Burlington, NC 27217, email to Myenergyapp@alamance-nc.com or fax to 336-229-2021. Additional information can also be provided with the completed application such as required income verification/energy bill.
Per the new state policy, a disconnect notice is not required to apply for services, only a past due notice. Interviews are required for ALL applications. All interviews will be conducted by telephone. An application will not be considered valid until an interview has been completed and a signed application received. It is extremely important to include a valid contact phone number on the application to ensure interviews can be completed. Once the interview has been completed, the application will be processed. Thank you for your understanding and assistance in helping us to process energy applications as efficiently as possible this energy season.
