Executive Director Job Announcement

The Organization:
The mission of Benevolence Farm is to provide an opportunity for women leaving prison to live and work on a farm where they grow food, nourish self, and foster community. Our work is grounded in values of social justice, human rights, ecological integrity and democratic accountability. With an active web, media and press presence, Benevolence Farm works closely with a wide range of allied organizations and distinguished scholars to provide effective and sustainable programming.

The Position:
Benevolence Farm seeks a high energy leader that will assume primary responsibility for guiding a thriving new nonprofit through the final stages of start-up to providing direct services for the first cohort of residents. Working in concert with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and community partners the Director will move the organization forward in the development and implementation of goals that reflect the organization’s vision, mission and strategic plan. The Director provides leadership for strategy, organizational advancement, financial management, fundraising, and communications. Full job description attached.

Compensation:
Salary range is $50,000 – 60,000 depending upon qualifications and experience, including a health care stipend, collaborative working environment, and paid vacation.

Location:
The farm is located in Graham, NC. Co-working office space is currently located in Carrboro.
