Be a crisis intervention volunteer advocate
You can gain valuable new skills and make a difference in our community by becoming a CrossRoads volunteer advocate. Our volunteers are often the first point of contact for those affected by sexual assault. You can make a difference in their lives by providing much needed support by answering the crisis line and responding as needed to the hospital and law enforcement.
Training starts February 11th and goes through March 6th. We meet Mondays and Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at CrossRoads.
Participants are expected to attend each training session in order to be adequately training for this important position. Each training night a different topic will be covered. CrossRoads responds to victims of child sexual abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking. Experts from these fields inside and outside of CrossRoads will be conducting this training. Interact with these experienced professionals and connect with others working to end sexual violence in our community. All levels of experience welcome. Bilingual individuals encouraged to attend.
