Alamance-Burlington Schools Online Student Enrollment Process

No more writer’s cramp for parents!

Alamance-Burlington Schools is launching a new online student enrollment process for the 2019-2020 school year. The online method will make it easier for parents to enroll students new to the district and for all students returning for the upcoming school year. (see attachment)

Instead of completing by hand the mountain of required paper forms typically sent home at the beginning of each school year, parents can now use any device with internet connectivity including computers, laptops, tablets or cell phones to enroll students before the school year begins.  In addition, parents may complete the online enrollment process at the Alamance-Burlington Schools Central Administrative Office at 1712 Vaughn Road, Burlington or visit any branch of the Alamance County Public Libraries for computer access. Completing online student enrollment at the child’s school is another option by calling ahead to make an appointment to use a school computer.

The secure online paperless procedure replaces all of the standard “back to school” student enrollment and permission forms that parents must complete at the beginning of the school year and provides electronic signature capability for parental permission forms related to school board policies. To make the procedure less time-consuming for families with multiple students, parents have the option to enter once then copy all generic family information to each child’s individual record, eliminating duplicate handwritten forms.

Parents of students currently enrolled in an ABSS school will receive emails with instructions on how to complete online enrollment.  Families are encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible in order to receive timely information about events prior to the beginning of the school year.

Information about the new paperless enrollment process is located on the Alamance-Burlington Schools district website:  as well as at the district administrative office and all school sites.
