A Candlelight Vigil
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) in October, the Family Justice Center of Alamance County and Family Abuse Services will be hosting a Candlelight Vigil to honor those who lost their lives to domestic violence (DV). In 2016, 82 people lost their lives to DV in North Carolina. So far in 2017, domestic violence has already claimed the lives of 59 more people in our state. Domestic violence is a public health epidemic that affects people of all walks of life.
Alamance County is dedicated to serving those affected by domestic violence and working towards a world that is one day free of violence. Please join us for a candlelight vigil on October 26th at 6:30pm outside the Alamance Superior Court House to honor those who have passed.
